BALANCEDRIDER
Tai Chi BalancedRider Tai Chi is a program of
un-mounted and mounted exercises that teaches riders about balance,
body alignment, fine-scale motor control, rhythm of movement, and
the origin of movement from the body's vital center.
With BALANCEDRIDER
Tai Chi, you will learn how to:
- Improve your balance and deepen your
seat
- Ride with relaxation
- Use breathing effectively
- Coordinate the movement of your entire
body
- Maintain alignment of your body so your
horse can move correctly and freely beneath you
- Respond to your horse without thinking

Classes
consist of regular un-mounted sessions where riders learn Tai Chi
principles of balance, breathing, and relaxed energy flow. All
classes incorporate standing breathing meditation, stationary qigong
exercises to develop suppleness in spine and hips, and moving tai
chi qigong exercises to develop relaxed, balanced movement of body.
As riders progress on the ground, they have the option of adding
BalancedRider Tai Chi mounted sessions. These sessions allow
riders to practice the tai chi principles on horseback..
